Te Manatū Waka has released the Gender and Ethnic Pay Gap Action Plan Report 2023 – 2024. Our plan was discussed, reviewed, and developed against the Kia Toipoto milestones in collaboration with a working group that had representatives from the Public Service Association, Employee Led Networks (ELNs) and staff from our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) working group.
This plan sets out details of our gender and ethnic pay gaps, the drivers behind it, and the actions we’ll take to support closing this gap and more broadly Te Kawa Mataaho three-year goals:
Building off our previous Action Plans and incorporating Kia Toipoto’s six milestones, we have strengthened our detailed action plan for the year ahead. Actions from the plan will be incorporated into our wider Diversity and Inclusion programme and progress will be regularly monitored.
By putting Kia Toipoto into action, agencies and Crown entities can achieve the expectations set out in the Public Service Act 2020 and the Government Workforce Policy Statement 2021.
